Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Room Attendant to join our housekeeping team at The Harpeth Hotel. As a Room Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring that our guest rooms and public areas are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and prepare guest rooms and public areas to meet established standards of cleanliness and propriety.
  • Retrieve items from shelves and storerooms, set up cleaning carts with supplies, and maintain carts and storerooms in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Clean and wipe windows, doors, walls, closets, and fixtures in rooms, public areas, and hallways.
  • Wash shower walls and tub, clean toilets and stall walls, wipe exposed pipes, clean mirrors, sinks, and walls to maintain clean and sanitary guest and public restrooms.
  • Replace towels, soaps, and room amenities, and restock literature and stationery.
  • Wash hard floor areas by hand to remove dirt and soiled areas.
  • Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and wall hangings.
  • Strip beds of all linen and remake with fresh linens, checking bedspreads, blankets, and bed pads for cleanliness.
  • Check closets for cleanliness, wiping closet doors, handles, and overhead shelves, and restocking guest room supplies.
  • Vacuum rooms, public areas, and hallways, operating vacuums weighing up to 25lbs.
  • Inspect door and window locks to ensure they are in working order and report any issues to management.
  • Inspect room equipment to ensure proper working order and report any issues to the Executive Housekeeper.
  • Secure and maintain custody of equipment, keys, and supplies at all times.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • No formal experience required for the position.
  • Constantly pushing loaded supply carts from room to room, carrying tote trays with replacement amenities, arranging drapery and replacement linen, and carrying dirty linen to laundry.
