We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents.

About the Role

The Nursing Assistant will serve as a caregiver to our residents during scheduled work periods, providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). This role requires a strong commitment to delivering age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Provide assistance with basic health care needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and providing psychosocial support.
  • Assist residents with meals and snacks, provide water and supplements as appropriate, and create a positive dining experience.
  • Aid providers and nursing staff members with procedures, if needed, and document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
  • Communicate resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse.
  • Provide housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational.
  • Assist with wellness and recreational programs and encourage residents to participate.
Requirements

High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required. Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
