Job Overview

Vista Del Mar Hospital is a leading provider of inpatient psychiatric care, serving Ventura and surrounding areas. We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Technician to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care to clients, including greeting and orienting new clients, crisis de-escalation and intervention, and assisting with treatment-related activities.
  • Work collaboratively with our multi-disciplinary team to ensure a safe and dignified environment for our clients.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and staff, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to professional boundaries.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge in behavioral health and mental illness.

Requirements:

  • High school level reading and writing skills, legible handwriting, and ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Good communication and customer service skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with medical and psychological terminology preferred.
