About the Role

Sedgwick is seeking a skilled Claims Representative to join our team. As a Claims Representative, you will play a critical role in processing low-level workers' compensation claims, ensuring timely and accurate benefits are provided to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and investigate claims to determine compensability and benefits due
  • Develop and coordinate action plans to resolution, return-to-work efforts, and approve claim payments
  • Administer subrogation of claims and negotiate settlements
  • Communicate claim actions with claimants and clients
  • Ensure claim files are properly documented and claims coding is accurate
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
  • Two (2) years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Developing knowledge of regulations, offsets, and deductions, disability duration, medical management practices, and Social Security and Medicare application procedures
  • Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills
  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
  • Strong analytical and interpretive skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
