Ultrasound Technologist II Job Description

At AdventHealth Shawnee Mission, we are seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Technologist II to join our team. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic medical sonography procedures to provide high-quality exams for interpretation by a Radiologist.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform ultrasound procedures according to department policies and guidelines.
  • Assist physicians in performing invasive procedures, including checking necessary lab work and delivering specimens to appropriate areas of the hospital.
  • Position and transfer patients for exams, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Maintain adequate records per department and hospital policies, including patient information and exam results.
  • Operate Cerner System proficiently, trouble-shooting problems with orders and making corrections within scope of user level.
  • Secure and restock supplies as necessary, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree or Graduate of a Technical School.
  • Preferred 1 to 2 Years of Position-Related Experience.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support.
  • Registered as Vascular Technologist (RVT).
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer-Abdominal or OB/GYN (RDMS).
  • Two Additional Registries.
