Essential Functions

As a Home Care Aide/Senior Companion, you will perform personal care activities that assist patients with activities of daily living, including:

  • Personal Hygiene and grooming
  • Ambulation/Transfers to ensure safe mobility
  • Dressing/Shaving and preparing for the day
  • Preparing meals and snacks according to instructions
  • Accompanying patients on errands or medical appointments
  • Performing light housekeeping activities to maintain a clean and safe environment

You will also perform patient-specific activities taught by a Right at Home nurse, including:

  • Providing hospice supportive care to patients in need
  • Medication reminders to ensure timely medication administration
  • Assisting with range of motion exercises to maintain patient mobility
  • Assisting with blood glucose monitoring to manage patient health
  • Care of bed-bound patients to ensure their comfort and safety
  • Incontinence care to maintain patient dignity
  • Using lifting equipment such as gait belts and Hoyer lifts to ensure patient safety
Preferred Experience

We prefer candidates with experience in:

  • Hoyer lift operation and safety
  • Personal care and grooming
  • Range of motion exercises to maintain patient mobility
  • Foley care to manage patient health
  • Companionship and social interaction
  • Light cleaning and housekeeping
