  • Maintains and cares for field equipment responsibly
  • Collects and interprets information for daily assignments
  • Maintains organized and clear electronic field notes and sketches
  • Effectively uploads and downloads data files to and from the collector
  • Successfully manages calibration file transfers to and from the collector
  • Responsible for stocking the company vehicle with necessary supplies and equipment each morning
  • Ensures cleanliness of vehicles and disposes of trash at the end of each workday
  • Assists crew chiefs with houseline surveying tasks accurately
  • Supports crew chiefs in conducting topographic, tree, and wetland surveys
  • Aids crew chiefs with boundary and ALTA survey tasks
  • Assists in construction staking services under crew chief supervision
  • Helps crew chiefs with the preparation of record drawings
Qualifications

Educational Background:

High School Diploma with 0-2 years of relevant experience

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid driver's license required

Essential Skills and Abilities:
  • Willingness to work overtime as necessary to meet project deadlines
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Capable of making independent decisions within a general framework
  • Strong desire to enhance field skills and survey knowledge
  • Fluency in the English language is mandatory
Physical Requirements:

Must be able to read reports and operate a computer. The role requires standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, and grasping. Outdoor work is essential. Must be able to write, type, and use a phone system. Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Ability to assist with cutting brush and trees is necessary.
