Job Title: Document Control Specialist

Job Summary:

The Document Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining the flow of construction documentation throughout the construction process. This includes maintaining the project document management platform, processing submittals, generating reports, and distributing plans and specifications to contractor personnel, subcontractors, and designers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of the project document management platform
  • Processing of submittals and input into the platform
  • Generation of submittal logs, RFI logs, and document control reports
  • Receipt, logging, and tracking of plans and specifications
  • Distribution of plans and specifications to contractor personnel, subcontractors, and designers
  • Maintenance of electronic copy files of project documentation

Requirements:

  • Education or extensive experience in business administration, information technology, library science, or a similar relevant discipline
  • Experience in document control for the design and construction of large projects
  • Proven ability to work with a wide range of disciplines connected with the successful completion of projects
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, both orally and written
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to multitask
