Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Dallas County. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of radiographic techniques and be able to produce high-quality images.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produces quality radiographs by demonstrating a working knowledge of radiographic exposure techniques and human anatomy.
  • Asserts quality control of the radiographic environment and maintains established radiation safety standards and practices.
  • Performs darkroom functions, including loading and unloading cassettes and operating automatic film processors.
  • Performs user-level maintenance on radiographic fluoroscopic machines and reports deficiencies.
  • Ensures established safety precautions are adhered to concerning equipment use and environmental cleanliness.
  • Inputs data and maintains x-ray database and other information necessary to obtain and retain current licensing, registration, and certification.
Requirements
  • Education and experience equivalent to an Associate's degree from an accredited American Medical Association-approved Radiologic Technology Training School.
  • One (1) year of work-related experience.
  • Skilled in the use of standard software applications.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, departments, and the general public.
  • Must possess the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Certification/Medical Radiologist Texas (MRT) by the Texas Medical Board.
