Job Summary:

Oak Street Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Scribe to support our primary care providers with clinical documentation. As a Medical Scribe, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters, allowing our providers to focus on delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Documentation: Document patient encounters in a structured note, including history of present illness, assessment, plan, and physical exam.
  • Exam Room Support: Join the provider in the exam room to observe patient visits and assist with documentation.
  • Clinical Documentation Improvement: Identify opportunities for clinical documentation improvement and work with providers to implement changes.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the care team, including placing orders and referrals.

Requirements:

  • Medical Terminology: Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications.
  • Communication Skills: Advanced listening and communication skills.
  • Computer Literacy: Strong computer literacy and ability to learn new technical workflows.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English (additional languages a plus).
