At Humble ISD, we are seeking an experienced and passionate School Nurse BSN to join our team. As a critical member of our educational community, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive healthcare services to students and staff while promoting a culture of wellness and safety.

About the Role:

The School Nurse BSN will work closely with teachers, administrators, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that students receive high-quality care. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a commitment to delivering exceptional patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide routine and emergency medical care to students, including first aid, wound care, and medication administration
  • Collaborate with teachers and administrators to develop and implement health education programs
  • Conduct vision and hearing screenings, as well as provide referrals for additional testing when necessary
  • Administer medications, including insulin, EpiPens, and inhalers
  • Maintain accurate records of student health information and immunization status

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in nursing or related field (BSN required)
  • Texas school nurse certification
  • Experience working in a school setting (preference given to those with experience in Humble ISD)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
