Job Overview

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team of professionals. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality educational services to students with special needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that cater to the unique needs of students.
  • Provide specialized instruction and support to help students achieve academic and social goals.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create a nurturing learning environment.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate individual learning styles and abilities.
  • Assess student progress and make necessary adjustments to instructional strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies and regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Active/Valid state teaching certification/license in Special Education in the state of Virginia.
  • ECSE credential is also required for this position.
  • Prior experience working with students with special needs is preferred, particularly in life skills teaching.
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
