Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Substitute Teacher to assist with classroom instruction in the absence of a regular teacher. As an ESS Substitute Teacher, you will follow and teach lesson plans, aid students in understanding subject matter, and ensure that regular classroom routines are followed.

Responsibilities
  • Provide meaningful instruction to students in assigned classrooms while the regular teacher is absent.
  • Review and implement regular teacher's routines, procedures, lesson plans, and curriculum objectives.
  • Establish and maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.
  • Report any student injuries, illness, and serious discipline problems to school administration.
  • Perform other duties as directed by school administration.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Criminal History Clearance.
  • NC Public School Health form.
  • TB skin test.
  • Drug Screening.

All above qualifications are eligible for reimbursement upon hire.

Additional Requirements
  • NC Dept of Early Education Background check.
  • Finger prints.

Above requirements will be covered by ESS as long as the qualifications above are met.
