Restaurant General Manager Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant General Manager to lead our team in Minot, North Dakota. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional service, high-quality products, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Management: Work with the management team to hire, train, manage, and develop team members, including regular meetings, reviews, and one-on-ones.
  • Shift Management: Manage shifts to ensure efficient operations and meet member/guest experience expectations, including assisting staff, ensuring quality food preparation, and responding to guest issues.
  • Compliance: Comply with local, state, and federal laws, including ServSafe training, Ward County food safety certification, and enforcement of alcohol responsibility policy.
  • Cost Control: Meet or exceed cost of goods goals for beverage and food programs by effectively planning, projecting needs, and researching vendors for best pricing.
  • Financial Management: Meet labor budgets through effective scheduling and monitoring coverage, and ensure accurate and timely completion of financial and personnel/payroll related admin duties.
  • Restaurant Image: Maintain a professional restaurant image, including general maintenance and cleanliness, and proper uniform and appearance standards.
Requirements:
  • Previous restaurant and management/supervisory experience.
  • 50 hours per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand extended periods, bend, reach, and lift.
