Job Overview
  • This role involves engaging in the development and coordination of programs at Marie's House of Hope, Inc., primarily focusing on the residents. The individual will be responsible for instructing and fostering independent living skills while assisting residents with self-care training and treatments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the health, safety, comfort, and welfare of each individual in care.
  • Assist individuals with daily tasks as needed.
  • Support personal care activities including bathing, toileting, and dressing.
  • Facilitate proper lifting and transferring of individuals when necessary.
  • Provide training and assistance in daily living skills.
  • Administer medications as required.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in relevant records.
  • Transport individuals as needed.
  • Assist with cleaning tasks for individuals.
  • Prepare nutritious meals according to individual dietary needs.
  • Ensure laundry is managed and assist individuals with their laundry needs.
  • Encourage community involvement for individuals.
  • Assist with financial management and account for individual cash under the organization's control.
  • Implement personalized program plans.
  • Uphold the dignity and respect of each individual.
  • Participate in all staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all individual records.
  • Possess reliable transportation.
  • The organization reserves the right to modify job duties as necessary.
  • This position serves individuals with mental health needs and developmental disabilities, involving assistance with daily living skills, personal care, housekeeping, medical appointments, and budgeting. The role may involve managing potential verbal/physical aggression, property damage, and self-injurious behaviors. Population served includes both male and female residents.

Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Relevant certifications and/or licenses with some prior work experience.
