Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Computer Science Instructor to join our team at Metropolitan State University of Denver. As an affiliate faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Computer Science, incorporating experiential learning opportunities, and fostering an inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and effective instruction in Computer Science courses
  • Design and implement experiential learning opportunities to enhance student learning
  • Foster a diverse and inclusive classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and problem-solving
  • Develop and maintain course materials, lesson plans, and assessments
  • Provide regular feedback and support to students
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience in teaching at the college level
  • Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in education
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit various learning styles
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field
Working Conditions

Affiliate faculty members are part-time, at-will employees hired to teach on a per credit hour basis for specific classes, usually on a semester-by-semester basis. Affiliate faculty are not eligible for benefit coverage under the University's benefit program.

Salary and Benefits

The final salary is based on the number of credit hours assigned at a rate determined by university policy.
