Job Overview

Urban Animal is seeking a skilled and compassionate Associate Veterinarian to join our team. As a key member of our veterinary staff, you will play a vital role in maintaining and promoting animal health by diagnosing and treating diseases and injuries, as well as counseling pet owners on maintaining the general wellness of their pets.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including diagnosing and treating diseases and injuries, and counseling pet owners on maintaining their pets' health.
  • Work under the direct guidance and supervision of the medical director to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including ordering and performing medical and surgical procedures as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless patient care and excellent customer service.
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of the practice's policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Veterinary Medicine Doctor (VMD) degree from an accredited veterinary college.
  • Valid Washington State veterinary license.
  • 5-7 years of experience as a practicing veterinarian, intern, or a minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency/critical care medicine.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a high-traffic, high-stress service environment.
