Regulatory Compliance Specialist

Sentinel Federal Credit Union is in search of a dynamic and knowledgeable professional to take on the role of Compliance Officer. This pivotal position is tasked with the oversight and management of the credit union's adherence to regulatory, legal, and policy requirements. The Compliance Officer will ensure that all modifications and updates to relevant laws and regulations are effectively integrated into Sentinel's operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a robust compliance program and training manual to uphold adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.
- Assist in the revision and design of forms, contracts, agreements, and disclosures to ensure compliance with both state and federal legal standards.
- Act as the primary liaison with governmental and law enforcement entities, providing necessary information regarding compliance and risk management issues.
- Advise Executive Management and the Board of Directors on policy modifications that enhance the credit union's risk management framework and protect its assets.
- Communicate any updates in policies and procedures clearly to Executive Management, the Board of Directors, and all credit union staff, ensuring comprehensive understanding and implementation.
- Monitor the effectiveness of new policies and procedures, following up to guarantee clarity and compliance across the organization.

- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care.
- Engage actively in community events, reflecting a spirit of volunteerism.
