Job Summary:
HexaQuEST Health, Inc. is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant to join our team in a long term care setting. The successful candidate will assist staff members with and contribute to the implementation of the total resident/patient plan of care which includes activities of daily living (eating, dressing, personal care, toileting), education, recreation, and transportation in accordance with established policies, procedures and standards of the nursing department.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist with all resident/patient routine activities of daily living including feeding, bathing, ambulating, skin care, and demonstrating effective listening skills to provide support for resident/patient needs
Take initial vital signs and provide weights to nursing staff in a timely manner
Report changes in vital signs or measurements promptly to the Supervisor/Charge Nurse
Maintain confidentiality of resident/patient related issues; support resident/patient rights
Maintain productive working relationship with healthcare team members
Provide additional care as directed by the RN/LPN
Assist with orientation of patient/resident/family to unit, facility and services
Deliver patient/resident care promptly and accurately as directed by the RN/LPN and in accordance with plan of care

Requirements:
Must hold an active Maine C.N.A License
3 years of experience in a long term care setting
Ability to empathize with residents, patients and families
Ability to remain objective in difficult circumstances including interactions with demanding residents and patients
Demonstrates flexibility when needed
Seeks help and assists in developing solutions for problems
Passion for working with long term care residents and skilled rehabilitation patients to provide excellent resident and patient care
