MRI Technologist

The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing MRI procedures in accordance with standards and practice set forth by the Medical Director of Radiology and Department Policies and Procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities- Operate MRI scanners and related equipment to produce high-quality images of patients
- Position patients for optimal imaging and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the procedure
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care
- Stay up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies and techniques to provide the highest level of care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and departmental efficiency
- Graduate of an AMA-approved program in Radiologic Technology
- Completion of courses in MRI and cross-sectional anatomy
- One year of experience performing MRI procedures
- Certified in Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) by the Association of Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
- MRI post-primary certifications required within one year of assignment
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date
