Childcare Assistant

We are seeking a qualified and caring individual to join our team as a Childcare Assistant at Firefly Childcare New Dorset LLC.

• Maintain a safe and engaging play environment for children aged 3-8 years old.
• Observe and monitor children's play activities, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
• Discipline children in a fair and consistent manner, promoting positive behavior and self-regulation.
• Sanitize toys and play equipment regularly to maintain a clean and healthy environment.
• Perform administrative tasks, such as taking attendance and maintaining records.
• Participate in recreational activities and outings, including field trips and educational events.
• Assist children with school work and homework, as needed.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to instruct and guide children in a supportive and nurturing environment.
• Strong monitoring and social perceptiveness skills.
• Service-oriented and able to work effectively with children, parents, and staff.
