Job Summary

Ebenezer is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Care Teacher to join our team. As a key member of our intergenerational childcare program, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children in their assigned age group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Development: Implement developmentally age-appropriate curriculum to ensure a stimulating and engaging learning environment.
  • Lesson Planning: Develop and implement weekly lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs and interests of the children.
  • Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Assess each child's development and administer Parent/Teacher conferences twice per year to keep parents informed of their child's progress.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a child-friendly and orderly classroom environment that promotes learning and exploration.
  • Guidance and Support: Implement effective guidance and support strategies to ensure the children's physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Communication: Connect with parents on child development issues, policies, and other concerns related to their children.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality of records and information of staff and families.
  • Intergenerational Activities: Participate in program areas such as intergenerational activities that foster meaningful relationships between children and seniors.
  • Health and Safety: Supervise the health, safety, and overall wellbeing of the children at all times.
  • Certifications: Maintain certification in Pediatric First Aid, CPR, SUIDS/AHT.
Requirements
  • Education: High school Diploma/GED - Child Development or Teacher qualified under Minnesota Rule.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, 1-2 years' experience working with young children.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 40lbs.
