About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Operations Manager to join our team at House of Blues. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and overall maintenance of our venues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interviews, selects, trains, supervises, counsels, and disciplines maintenance service staff to ensure maximum guest satisfaction.
  • Organizes and conducts meetings and communicates pertinent information to the staff.
  • Schedules and directs staff in their work assignments.
  • Conducts pre-event inspections of all venue areas, prior to opening to ensure cleanliness and safety of areas.
  • Reports all damages and required maintenance following each event to Operations Manager.
  • Carries out preventative and reactive maintenance.
  • Maintains building structures and fixtures.
  • Partners with cleaning team pre and post event.
  • Purchases, re-orders, and maintains adequate supplies and inventory of cleaning products and other supplies.
  • Any other task as assigned by the Operations Manager.
  • Show CARE by participating in the venue's sustainability program which could include implementing programs that conserve resources/prevent waste such as sorting waste and collecting recycling and educating our fans about our efforts.
  • Works with scheduling payroll administrator to ensure that all staffing needs are met.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of safe work practices and procedures.
  • Attention to detail, quality, and accuracy.
  • Experience in plumbing, construction, and general maintenance.
  • Previous management position.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Available to work flexible and extended hours including evenings and weekends.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
