Job Description:

The Trauma Program Coordinator will serve as a program coordinator and consultant to staff a multi-disciplinary health care team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining a cost-effective system of care for trauma patients and their families throughout the continuum of care.

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership in Trauma Program Coordination
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures
  • Participates in the development and planning of goals and objectives related to trauma care
  • Participates in trauma meetings within Allina and on a regional level
  • Works with departments to resolve inefficiencies related to trauma care
  • Oversees staff adherence to policies, procedures and standards
  • Completes MDH recertification process and coordinates site visits

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Vocational degree in Nursing
  • 3+ years of providing Patient care in an acute care setting involving care of trauma patients
  • 0 to 2 years of data analysis and performance improvement development

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • 0 to 2 years of experience in clinical education

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required
  • TNCC-Trauma Nursing Core Course - Allina Health required
  • ACLS/BLS Tier 2-Advanced Cardiac Life Support - Multisource required
  • PALS - Pediatric Advance Life Support - Multisource required if providing pediatric care
