Job Overview
Under the guidance of the Vice President of Manufacturing Operations and through collaborative engagement with various functional support managers, this role is accountable for the tactical operations of the plant's production quality service goals and objectives.

This position may also oversee the plant's mailroom teams in certain locations.

Key Responsibilities
This role entails leading digital teams by embodying High-Performance leadership behaviors, ensuring adherence to both manufacturing and non-manufacturing policies, achieving production targets, maintaining quality standards, and forecasting labor and facility needs.

The individual will direct the production and distribution of products while implementing and sustaining process improvement initiatives through lean manufacturing methodologies.

Performance Improvement
Enhance manufacturing cycle time and productivity while minimizing total waste, errors, and manufacturing costs across the production facilities. Set objectives, monitor results, and strategize to meet or exceed operational goals.

This position is responsible for managing the training, motivation, and evaluation of production team members within the plant. Collaborate with manufacturing leaders across other facilities to ensure uniformity in manufacturing processes and procedures.

Leadership Representation
Act as the representative of the plant in the absence of the Vice President of Operations.

Essential Duties
- Monitor and address personnel issues as they arise.
- Coordinate the training and development of both management and hourly staff.
- Schedule production workflows effectively.
- Provide leadership in accordance with the Vericast Manufacturing Work System and support the development of direct reports.
- Delegate projects and tasks to line staff while offering coaching and guidance.
- Participate in or lead company-wide process improvement and project teams.
- Communicate goals, objectives, and results to manufacturing teams.
- Conduct Leader Standard Work, including reviewing trend charts and performing weekly Gemba walks.

Performance Measurement
Plan staffing and assess the performance of productivity, quality, and service of the manufacturing location against established goals and priorities. Incorporate support groups appropriately in plans for improvement and problem response.

Review and take action based on current results and reports.
