Responsibilities
  • Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish, ensuring that all orders are accurate and complete.
  • Communicate with customers on parts status, providing updates and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Work closely with our staff and customers to provide a friendly and professional experience.
  • Be able to read and understand the parts catalog, locating and ordering parts as needed.
  • Answer phone calls, providing price quotes and other information to customers.
  • Review body shop estimates to ensure that all parts ordered are correct and priced accurately.
  • Provide high-level service to internal and external customers, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Pull and fill orders from stock, maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Perform weekly bin checks to ensure that stock is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Notify the parts manager of any out-of-stock parts or shop materials that require immediate attention.
  • Locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submit emergency orders as needed.
  • Ensure that all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair orders.
  • Receive payment from retail customers or obtain credit authorization as necessary.
  • Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience with auto parts sales preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of organization and time management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and commissions.
