Job Summary

Technology Service Corporation (TSC) is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Radar and Precision Weapons Development Division in Huntsville, AL. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and evaluating electronic packaging for use in Mil/Aero applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electronic packaging solutions for complex electronics systems, including high-density airborne or ruggedized electronics assemblies.
  • Model components and systems, and create drawing packages for fabrication.
  • Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) techniques to produce optimal design and manufacturing solutions.
  • Support vibration and thermal testing.
  • Maintain responsibility of product from concept to production.
  • Interface with customers and vendors to ensure product/component performance meets customer specifications and standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, plus 2-4 years of experience.
  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Pro-E, or other 3D modeling software.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Basic understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and concepts.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
