Position Summary

The Facility Operations Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the school's facilities. This position involves performing essential repairs, maintaining a safe and organized environment, and overseeing the upkeep of the premises. The Technician will engage in various trades, including plumbing, electrical work, painting, and construction, in alignment with the Operations Department's needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the daily maintenance and operation of the facility to promote a safe and productive atmosphere for all.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
  • Evaluate and monitor repair needs, establishing priorities for maintenance tasks.
  • Plan and organize projects and weekly work schedules effectively.
  • Stay informed about current regulations and best practices in facilities management.
  • Implement policies and procedures related to facility maintenance.
  • Complete assigned work orders, including repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Recommend necessary tools and supplies to enhance maintenance efficiency.
  • Support the Athletics Department with maintenance-related responsibilities.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the maintenance shop area.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • A minimum of two years of experience in facility maintenance or a related field.
  • A background in electrical, mechanical, or construction work.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer service-oriented mindset.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • A valid Driver's license with a clean driving record.
Work Environment

This position requires flexibility in scheduling, including evenings and weekends as necessary. A work schedule will be provided two weeks in advance.
