Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney Opportunity

LHH is seeking an experienced insurance defense litigation attorney for a long-term contract assignment with a well-established law firm in the Houston area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for drafting legal documents, maintaining their own case load, and providing strategic legal analysis, as well as appearing in court for various hearings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and handle all phases of litigation case load with minimal supervision, ensuring progress for clients
  • Analyze and identify key issues
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings
  • Attend hearings and trials
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • JD and active bar license
  • 4+ years of litigation experience in Texas State Courts
  • Excellent written communication skills, with experience drafting and responding to initial pleadings and discovery, drafting and arguing motions
  • Experience defending depositions and preparing cases for trial
  • Strong research skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in insurance coverage, insurance defense, or commercial litigation matters preferred
