Job Overview
The Risk Management Consultant collaborates closely with clients, insurance representatives, producers, and the Commercial Operations team to address claims and risk management needs, aiming to minimize the overall cost of risk for our clients.

This role involves both office work and travel to client sites, providing essential services while also mentoring Claim Advocates in daily procedures and inquiries related to insurance claims and risk management.

The Risk Management Consultant is committed to meeting or exceeding the agency's service standards regarding time and quality, setting a high standard of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with clients, insurance representatives, producers, and the Client Services Manager to develop comprehensive claim and risk management service plans for commercial clients.
  • Serve as a resource and mentor for Claim Advocates regarding coverage evaluations and claims processing.
  • Provide advocacy for significant and/or intricate claims, including setting client expectations at the time of loss, offering on-site consultation as necessary, and ensuring claims are tracked to resolution.
  • Prepare and present the annual strategic service report to commercial clients.
  • Coordinate field claim reviews and risk management visits with clients, insurance representatives, and producers as appropriate.
  • Identify proactive opportunities to reduce the cost of risk for commercial clients.
  • Generate and present claim trend analysis reports to pinpoint loss causes for assigned clients.
  • Conduct client seminars on topics such as property casualty claims, safety compliance, and risk management.
  • Deliver risk management consulting services to commercial clients.
  • Assist producers with new business initiatives, including responding to requests for proposals and delivering capability presentations to prospects and current clients.
  • Domestic travel may be required to service clients, participate in sales calls, and attend educational workshops.
  • Be available to respond to urgent claims outside of regular business hours, including holidays and weekends.
  • Support clients with written follow-ups regarding loss control recommendations from insurance companies.
Qualifications and Skills
Years of Experience:
  • 4-6 years
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree or a combination of equivalent education and experience
License, Certification, or Registration:
  • P&C License preferred
Additional Information:
  • Professional designations such as CIC, ACLM, CRM, ARM, or CSP are desirable.
  • Ability to manage complex tasks with both concrete and abstract variables.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to explain complex issues and interpret detailed information.
  • Maintain a positive attitude, demonstrate enthusiasm, and exhibit flexibility.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
