Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Luminis Health. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing direct patient care and supporting the surgical team during procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care during surgical procedures, using physician preference cards and prioritizing care activities based on patient and environmental changes.
  • Maintain a safe environment for patients and the surgical team by ensuring a sterile environment and using equipment according to operating room manual.
  • Transport patients and specialty equipment in accordance with safety policy.
  • Function as a first scrub in various types of cases, including general, GYN, ENT, plastics, and more, and demonstrate proper care of instrumentation.
  • Perform surgical skills independently, including opening surgical supplies, gowning and gloving team members, and terminal cleaning of the ORs and surgical suite.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited surgical technologist program or its equivalent.
  • Completed a minimum of 125 surgical procedures in the role as first scrub.
  • American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS certification.
Working Conditions

There is a reasonable expectation that employees in this position will be exposed to blood-borne pathogens. Physical demands include exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
