We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Luminis Health. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing direct patient care and supporting the surgical team in a fast-paced operating room environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
- Transport patients and equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to safety policies and procedures.
- Provide patient care during the intra-operative phase of surgery, using physician preference cards and prioritizing care activities based on patient and environmental changes.
- Function as a first scrub in various types of cases, demonstrating proper care of instrumentation and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Perform surgical skills independently, including opening surgical supplies, gowning and gloving team members, and performing terminal cleaning of the ORs and surgical suite.
- Graduate from an accredited surgical technologist program or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a surgical technologist position, or equivalent experience in a related field.
- American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS certification.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a reasonable expectation of exposure to blood-borne pathogens. Physical demands include exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
