Job Summary

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing, developing, and mentoring a team of maintenance professionals in diagnosing problems and making repairs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain the physical aspects of our communities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, dry walling, exterior structure, and appliance repair.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure timely and efficient repairs.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of maintenance professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Establish and prepare a 24-hour on-call schedule for the maintenance team, ensuring that all emergencies are addressed promptly and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as property management and leasing, to ensure that maintenance needs are met and that residents are satisfied with the level of service provided.
Requirements
  • Education: One year certificate from college or technical school; and/or 2-4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • HVAC/EPA/CFC Certification.
  • Previous job experience: Property Maintenance, Contractors (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, general, painters, etc.), Construction workers, hotel management maintenance.
  • Communication and Customer Service: written follow-up and ability to explain solutions to residents.
  • Valid driver's license along with good driving record and auto insurance is required.
  • Personal vehicle is required.
  • Emergencies happen. In order to ensure we are addressing these issues as soon as possible, our Maintenance Operations Manager must live within 30 minutes of the property.
