Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Deliver high-quality speech and swallowing therapy services to individuals with a range of diagnoses, using evidence-based practice and clinical expertise.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of comprehensive treatment plans, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
  • Document patient progress and treatment plans accurately and thoroughly, using electronic health records and other systems.
  • Maintain current knowledge and skills in speech and swallowing therapy, participating in ongoing education and training.
  • Support and participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the continuous improvement of patient care and services.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • New York State licensure and certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in speech and swallowing therapy, preferably in a hospital or rehabilitation setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
