Position Summary:
The Flight Instructor plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional, learner-focused flight training to our clientele. Training is conducted in our iconic Cirrus Aircraft SR and SF models at our premier service center. Our structured syllabus, coupled with proprietary course materials, ensures an efficient and effective learning process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Uphold all safety protocols and procedures established by the industry and Cirrus.
- Deliver outstanding customer service with professionalism.
- Make informed and timely decisions regarding flight safety.
- Conduct training sessions in accordance with program guidelines.
- Provide comprehensive flight and ground instruction as per Cirrus standards.
- Accurately document all training activities and outcomes in pilot training records.
- Recommend students for FAA written and practical examinations.
- Evaluate pilot performance across various training domains.
- Identify opportunities to tailor training sessions to meet individual student needs.
- Serve as pilot in command during corporate flight operations, ferry flights, and demonstrations.
- Perform routine pre-flight and post-flight inspections and maintenance tasks.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in Cirrus aircraft.
- Maintain a high level of aircraft knowledge and represent Cirrus as a model aviator and instructor.
- Communicate effectively with students before and after training sessions.
- Enhance flight safety through high-quality instruction.
- Execute additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Current FAA Flight Instructor Certificate (Airplane Single Engine and Instrument Airplane).
- Valid FAA Pilot Certificate (Commercial Airplane Single Engine Land and Instrument Airplane).
- Current Second-class Airman Medical Certificate or higher.
- Preferred experience in IFR operations, mountain flying, extensive IMC, international flights, and night flying.
- A minimum of 1000 total instruction hours or 750 hours of Cirrus instruction.
- SF50 Type Rating and ATP Certificate are preferred.
