Job Summary:
The RN Director will be responsible for managing and facilitating patient-centered nursing care for designated patient populations, serving as a real-time clinical expert for unit staff and physicians, and overseeing the leadership of clinical, financial, and personnel management of the assigned areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and facilitate patient-centered nursing care for designated patient populations.
- Serve as a real-time clinical expert for unit staff and physicians.
- Oversee the leadership of clinical, financial, and personnel management of the assigned areas.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate quality and process improvement initiatives of the department.
- Facilitate communication of system, regional, facility, and department initiatives.
- Manage and develop the operational and capital budgets and use of associated resources.
- Assure the development of staff leadership through the design of effective shared leadership models and supports career advancement opportunities.
- Responsible for selection, orientation, on-boarding, and retention.
Requirements:
- BSN or MSN required for all new hires.
- Current RN license in state of practice.
- BLS certification.
- Two years of clinical management experience relevant to patient population.
