Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Engineering Technician to join our team at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting specialized biomedical equipment throughout the campus, developing and ensuring compliance with quality assurance measures, and repairing, inspecting, calibrating, testing, cleaning, and lubricating electronic and electro/mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and maintain biomedical equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Develop and implement quality assurance measures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Repair, inspect, calibrate, test, clean, and lubricate electronic and electro/mechanical equipment
  • Collaborate with the Senior Biomedical Engineering Technician to ensure seamless equipment support
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Associate's degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology, Electronics, or a related field, and the equivalent of two years of internship or on-the-job training/work experience in the troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of biomedical, electronic, or electro/mechanical equipment
  • Or a High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of four years of internship or on-the-job training/work experience in the troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of biomedical, electronic, or electro/mechanical equipment
Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have prior hospital experience, experience with biomed equipment support, MS Office applications, IT networking, customer support experience, and achievements, and AAMI certifications or an Associate's degree in a related field.
