Work Schedule: Full Time, 0.8 FTE, totaling 64 hours per pay period (2 weeks).

Shift Details: Day shifts are required.

Compensation: The hourly wage is $50.30, commensurate with the candidate's relevant experience.

Qualifications:
  • Completion of an accredited nursing program: Diploma, ADN, BSN, or MSN.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Certification as a Certified Ambulatory Perianesthesia Nurse (CAPA) from the American Board of Perianesthesia Nursing Certification (ABPANC) is required within 18 months of employment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
  • ACLS and PALS certifications must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
  • Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct patient care in accordance with nursing and medical care plans, utilizing population-specific guidelines. Provide care for patients across various surgical specialties, anesthetic types, and manage wound care and medication administration. Engage patients and their families in the care planning process.
  • Address complications arising from surgical procedures and anesthesia.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide education regarding anesthesia, including potential complications and post-operative care.
  • Follow established protocols for patient care, safety goals, and medication administration. Document care in accordance with established guidelines. Identify opportunities for practice improvement based on evidence-based nursing literature and research. Flexibility to assist in other clinical areas as required.
  • Exhibit critical thinking skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
