Job Summary: We are seeking an Academic Rheumatologist to join our team at West Virginia University School of Medicine. The successful candidate will practice the full range of outpatient and inpatient Rheumatology, teach medical students, residents, and fellows, and participate in quality improvement and/or research.
About the Role: As an Academic Rheumatologist, you will be expected to provide excellent patient care, teach and mentor students and trainees, and contribute to the Division's research and quality improvement efforts. You will also have the opportunity to participate in grant-funded research and collaborate with other faculty members on various projects.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Practicing the full range of outpatient and inpatient Rheumatology
- Teaching medical students, residents, and fellows
- Participating in quality improvement and/or research
- Collaborating with other faculty members on various projects
Qualifications: Applicants must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent, be eligible to obtain a state medical license, and have completed an accredited internal medicine residency program and a rheumatology fellowship. Board eligibility or certification in rheumatology is also required.
