Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Direct Support Specialist to join our team at our Tempe Meaningful Day Center. As a Direct Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in their daily lives, assisting with daily living skills, attending community outings, teaching skills to improve independence, job coaching, employment, and more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities in daily living skills, including personal care, meal preparation, and household management.
  • Accompany individuals to community outings and activities, promoting socialization and community integration.
  • Teach skills to improve independence, such as vocational skills, job coaching, and employment training.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement individualized support plans.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with company policy and procedures.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Able to pass a background check.
  • Lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Drivers License.
