Physician and Surgeon, Correctional Facility

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician and Surgeon, Correctional Facility to join our team at the California Medical Facility. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide medical care to patients in a correctional facility, performing medical assessments and providing medical treatment as authorized by your medical license.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical care to patients in a correctional facility, including performing medical assessments and providing medical treatment as authorized by your medical license.
- Collaborate with midlevel providers and other staff to provide clinical consultation and instruction on medical protocols.
- Adhere to professional medical standards of care and maintain accurate records of patient care.
- Participate in on-call duties as assigned.
- Possession of the legal requirements for the practice of medicine in California as determined by the Medical Board of California or the California Board of Osteopathic Examiners.
- Possession of a valid internal medicine or family medicine Medical or Osteopathic Specialty Certificate issued by an American Medical Specialty Board or an American Osteopathic Specialty Board.
- Admissibility to an internal medicine or family medicine Specialty examination as evidenced by a written statement from the Secretary of the American Board of Family Medicine or the Secretary of the American Board of Internal Medicine.
- Willingness to create and promote an equitable and inclusive workplace where diversity is celebrated and valued.
- Possession of the legal requirements for the practice of medicine in California as determined by the Medical Board of California or the California Board of Osteopathic Examiners and possession of a valid certificate issued by an American Medical Specialty Board or an American Osteopathic Board as a specialist in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
