Position Summary

As a Seasonal Operations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting local communities through your work in grain operations. This position offers both full-time and part-time hours, ensuring a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Under general supervision, you will efficiently execute various labor tasks, which may include:

  • Acquiring and maintaining knowledge of the commodities managed at the facility while adhering to company policies and government regulations.
  • Engaging with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Preparing trucks for loading and unloading, which may involve sampling, loosening large nuts, opening hatches, and managing flexible hoses.
  • Monitoring and controlling all load-out functions.
  • Understanding and operating dump systems.
  • Conducting and accurately recording maintenance tasks, including lubrication of pumps, valves, and loading arms.
  • Inspecting equipment for leaks and ensuring quality control of inventory.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and safety in all work areas through regular housekeeping duties.
  • Performing grounds maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Reporting any customer complaints or safety concerns to the supervisor.
  • Promoting a strong safety culture by following all safety policies and procedures.
  • Executing additional duties as assigned to ensure smooth facility operations and excellent customer service.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must meet the minimum age requirement.
  • At least 1 year of experience in Operations or Business Operations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to operate machinery such as loaders, conveyors, and tractors.
  • Willingness to work extended hours during peak seasons.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Experience in agriculture is preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Capability to climb rail cars, ladders, stairs, and bins.
  • Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions.
