Job Overview

Under the supervision of the Business Office Supervisor, this role is pivotal in managing all billing and posting operations at United Medical Centers. The individual will oversee all cashiering responsibilities in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough screenings and evaluations of patients to ascertain their financial eligibility for clinic services.
  • Utilize the Primary Health Care (PHC) Screening Tool and Automated Medicaider system for electronic documentation of applications.
  • Direct patients to suitable community programs based on their needs.
  • Provide comprehensive information about United Medical Centers' services to patients and the public.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards including State/Federal regulations, TJC, DSHS standards, HRSA, and Compliance Standards.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for candidates who have completed business courses.

Experience and Skills

A minimum of one year of experience in billing practices, ideally within a healthcare setting, is required. Cashier experience is essential. Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred. Candidates should be able to type at least 40 words per minute and have computer proficiency. Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) is advantageous.
