Job Summary

As a skilled ER Nurse with Universal Health Services, you will provide direct patient care to a diverse patient population, addressing their psychosocial, physical, and general needs in a fast-paced surgical environment. You will work closely with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure seamless patient care, maintain surgical equipment, and assess the operating room for readiness and supplies.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to pediatric through geriatric patient population.
  • Communicate with surgeon and anesthesiologist continuously and as needed about patient condition.
  • Assist with the maintenance of surgical equipment and inventory.
  • Assess operating room for equipment functioning and readiness, obtains supplies for individual cases.
  • Monitors, positions, and assist patient during procedures.

Qualifications
  • At least one to two years of nursing experience.
  • Expertise in Operating Room and PACU preferred.
  • Maintains a current Registered Nurse license in the State of Texas.
  • BLS/CPR required.
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served.
