Position Overview

The Corporate Communications Associate plays a pivotal role in executing internal messaging and employee engagement initiatives that align with our commitment to an employee-focused culture. This position reports directly to the VP of Corporate & Brand Communications.

Key Responsibilities


• Develop, compose, and refine a variety of internal communication materials, such as company-wide emails, newsletters, employee app updates, event communications, videos, and announcements that encourage transparent dialogue across the organization and reinforce our core values and mission.


• Create and oversee an editorial calendar that highlights company events, news, benefits, and significant milestones. Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure that engaging content is captured and disseminated to the entire employee community.


• Manage the development and upkeep of the employee communications portal, ensuring that information is consistent, relevant, and accurate.


• Drive employee engagement initiatives by leading key recognition programs, promoting training and development opportunities, and serving as the primary contact for employee communication events.


• Craft engaging content that reflects our core values and celebrates the diverse backgrounds of our workforce.


• Foster a vibrant workplace culture by conceptualizing, organizing, and promoting employee events and activities that enhance job satisfaction; support employee participation in community outreach and volunteer initiatives; and assist with employee recognition programs.


• Cultivate and manage relationships with local nonprofits through planned giving and volunteer partnerships, enhancing company visibility and public awareness through various internal and external channels.


• Contribute to the company's business continuity efforts by providing internal communications during significant events that may impact operations.


• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications


• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, English, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.

Experience


• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in internal communications or employee relations.


• Experience with system implementation, integration, and administration is preferred.

Skills and Competencies


• Exceptional writing, proofreading, and editing abilities.


• Strong understanding of AP style guidelines.


• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).


• Familiarity with graphic design software or the ability to quickly acquire necessary skills; knowledge of web design and video production is a plus.
