Key Responsibilities

The Clinical Veterinarian will be responsible for providing medical care to all animals used for research and teaching, ensuring their health and well-being. This includes:

  • Providing strategic vision and implementing systematic continuous improvement operations to provide leading-class service and facilities to the research community
  • Collaborating with researchers and faculty to support their animal research projects
  • Providing leadership to the Animal Care staff and University concerning animal welfare best practices
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and university regulations governing the care and use of animals in research and teaching
