About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Alcon's manufacturing site in Sinking Springs, PA. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks and unscheduled repairs on critical equipment, including HVAC systems, oil-free air compressors, and purified water systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on critical equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance
  • Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and develop preventive maintenance plans
  • Read engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals to troubleshoot and repair equipment
  • Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and bench-top tools to perform job duties
  • Complete light fabrication work and monitor critical systems
  • Present observations and equipment status to team members and management
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
  • 2 Years of Relevant Experience in Facility Maintenance or a related field
  • Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 Years of Facility Maintenance Experience
  • Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
  • Having a Mechanical and Electrical Troubleshooting Aptitude
  • Experience following Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
