The University of Oklahoma is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Specialist to perform a variety of duties involving general facilities maintenance. This role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure the upkeep and repair of university facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repair to facilities under minimal supervision in areas such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, swimming pools, food service equipment, landscape, paint, and carpentry.
  • Clean and maintain work areas to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
  • Identify and report emergency repairs beyond your skill level to summon on-call assistance using defined procedures.
  • Perform minor equipment repair and complete required forms and logs.
  • Operate small hand tools and power equipment to perform tasks of a craft trade.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
