As a Program Director at GovCIO, you will be responsible for directing all phases of programs from inception through completion. This includes overseeing the cost, schedule, and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs.

You will participate in the negotiation of contract and contract changes, and coordinate the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contract.

As the primary customer contact for program activities, you will lead program review sessions with customers to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. You will also develop new business or expand the product line with the customer.

You will establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules, identifying program problems and obtaining solutions. You will direct the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas.

As a Program Director, you will manage one or more programs of size and complexity, may manage an operating/field office, and supervise professional and technical personnel performing in their customary disciplines.

You will maintain aggressive efforts to achieve objectives, preparing manpower staffing plans, including skill and labor mix, to support contract operations. You may be responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and hiring staff.

You will monitor contract, subcontract, and funding, preparing forecasts of program financial performance. You will acquire follow-on business associated with areas of responsibility and support new business development by leading major proposals personally, or through subordinate program/project managers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's with 8-12 years (or commensurate experience)
