As an Assistant Manager at Car-X Tire & Auto, you will play a crucial role in overseeing daily store operations, ensuring the effective, efficient, and safe management of our service bays. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to kickstart your career with Car-X. From day one, you will engage in a comprehensive management training program that covers all facets of your new responsibilities, preparing you for future advancement. As an automotive manager, you will be a vital team member, dedicated to fostering strong relationships with our customers. More importantly, you will collaborate with your team to deliver exceptional customer experiences, utilizing your professional expertise to care for vehicles and guarantee our customers have safe and reliable transportation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Store Manager on store operations and participate in hiring, training, coaching, and employee management processes.
- Assist automotive technicians in creating and maintaining a productive sales environment by training and developing team members on all shop operations and customer service.
- Help with employee scheduling, timecard completion, and task assignments for Lube and Tire technicians.
- Perform automotive technician duties as needed.
- Attend meetings and training sessions to stay updated on tools, parts, and repair techniques.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in automotive services and sales.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to work with hands overhead, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong communication skills and basic math skills for calculating discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
- Customer and team-oriented mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Automotive State Inspector License.
- ASE Automotive Certifications.
- Demonstrated experience in automotive sales or quick lube services.
- Leadership experience.
